Sadoff Iron and Metal Company to Expand Omaha, Nebraska Facility; Announces New HiresOMAHA AND LINCOLN, Nebraska (January 13, 2016) – Sadoff Iron and Metal Company (Sadoff) will begin construction on a new facility expansion at their current location at 4918 F Street in Omaha, Nebraska this spring. The building project will add over 5,000 square feet of space to include interior scrap storage bins, a streamlined nonferrous baling operation, and additional concrete for environmental controls and enhanced customer service. Construction is anticipated to begin in March 2016. “This expansion will support the growth we have experienced in the Omaha market, “said Steve Napoleone, Regional Operations Manager – Nebraska. “Despite the decrease in scrap commodity pricing, we have grown out of our current footprint and this project will be beneficial for customers and from an operational perspective.” In addition, Sadoff Iron and Metal Company – Nebraska recently hired Chip Treas as Regional Marketing Manager – Nebraska and Brian Jacobsen as Buyer/Account Representative. Treas, comes back to Sadoff after a previous stint as General Manager of Sadoff’s Green Bay, Wisconsin yard in the early 2000s. Most recently, he served as General Manager of Grossman Iron & Steel in St. Louis, Missouri. Treas has a background in scrap production, operations and trading and will be based out of Sadoff’s Lincoln facility. Jacobsen is an eleven-year veteran of the scrap business. He will be based out of the Omaha branch. Accompanying these moves, Chris Stath, the current Regional Marketing Manager for Nebraska will transition to Sadoff’s company headquarters in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin later in 2016, handling Sadoff’s nonferrous, alloy and stainless programs. Sadoff Iron and Metal Company – Nebraska began in 1999 with a greenfield operation in the Lincoln Airpark. The business expanded and a new 12-acre facility was built in 2013. Sadoff’s Omaha location was the former Midwest Metals, purchased in 2012. Sadoff Iron and Metal Company, founded by Edward Rudoy in 1947 is a ferrous, nonferrous and electronic scrap metal processing company with headquarters in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. The company has nine recycling facilities located throughout Wisconsin and Nebraska. Sadoff provides scrap metal recycling, processing and management services to industry, foundries, steel mills and smelters. Sadoff conducts business in 41 states as well as Canada, Mexico, China, India, Taiwan and South Korea.
